Frequently Asked Questions

CAN YOU USE WAX MELTS IN AN ELECTRIC BURNER?

Our wax melts are frequently requested if they can be used in an electric wax burner, such as a scentsy or Yankee candle wax burner (don't forget to check out our buying guide). Because not all wax melts completely melt in these burners, this is a regular question. This is due to the fact that electric wax burners do not get as hot as tealight burners, and some wax only melts at greater temperatures. The good news is that we've tried our wax melts in a variety of electric burners and are pleased to report that they all melt and release their scent nicely (also check out our buying guide)!

IS IT POSSIBLE TO USE WAX MELTS IN AN OIL BURNER?

One of the most frequently asked questions we receive is if wax melts can be used in an oil burner. The height and how hot the burner dish becomes are the key differences between an oil burner and a wax burner. Oil burners are generally smaller in height, and the dish reaches far higher temperatures than in a wax burner. These burners should not be used for wax melts because the dish and wax could overheat, cracking the dish. This is a fire hazard since the wax could spill into the tealight's flame, causing a fire. The height of the burner is the greatest method to tell the difference between a wax and an oil burner. A wax melts burner should be at least 10cm tall, with a gap of at least 6.5cm between the flame and the inside of the wax burner.

HOW DO I USE WAX MELTS SAFELY IN A WAX MELT BURNER?

When using our wax melts, please observe the safety guidelines below at all times:

  • Always use a burner intended for wax melts.
  • Before using your burner, inspect it for hairline cracks or chips. Burners with cracks or chips should never be used since they can cause a fire.
  • In your burner, place 1 regular-sized unscented tealight and leave the water out.
  • Always keep out of reach of children and pets at all times.
  • When burning, keep an eye on it. A lit tealight should never be left unattended.
  • Keep clear from draughts.
  • Always pay heed to the packaging's safety warnings.
  • Always place your burner on a level, heat-resistant surface away from potential fire hazards.
  • Before putting wax in your burner, remove any packaging.
  • Use the right amount of wax for your wax burner's size. Do not overfill the container.
  • While your wax burner is burning, do not move it.

IS IT SAFE TO LEAVE WAX MELT WARMERS ON OVERNIGHT?

It is not safe, to answer the question. Tealight wax melters, on the other hand, won't last more than 4-8 hours on average because they self-extinguish once the wax is all melted. However, electric candle wax melters must be switched off before going to bed for safety reasons. This is especially true if you share your home with others. If you have dogs or children, be cautious about leaving the heating element on your wax melt burner overnight, or any time you aren't in the room keeping an eye on things. The wax in the melter, as well as the heating element itself, will be extremely hot and potentially dangerous.

WAX MELT WARMERS FOR TEALIGHT WAX MELT

Tealight wax melt warmers are designed to work with tealight candles only. These are tiny wax candles that create a lovely atmosphere in a room with a dim light source. Some of them use a tea light candle as the source of heat, with a dish above for your wax cube. Because the aroma is supposed to originate from the wax melt itself, which slowly melts as the candle pushes more heat above, the user normally uses a scentless candle. Some users, on the other hand, enjoy experimenting with scented tealight candles and scented wax melt warmers to discover new scents!

WHAT TO THINK ABOUT BEFORE BUYING A WAX MELTER

If you're looking for a new candle wax melter in the United Kingdom, there are a few things to think about first. You should be informed of the various varieties before adding anything to your cart. Each style has advantages and disadvantages. The best sort for you will be determined by the type of wax you want to melt in your warmer!

WHAT IS THE MOST EFFECTIVE WAY OF MELTING WAX?

You may melt scented wax in a variety of ways to experience the various fragrances it has to offer. You may also stick to traditional candle burning, which is a terrific alternative, and we have handcrafted soy candles if that's what you're looking for. However, many people prefer the beauty and decorating provided by a wax melter. However, there are other advantages to melting wax with a wax warmer. They are far safer than traditional candles, for example, where the presence of an open flame on the wick poses some risk, however minor. There are also electric wax melters on the market that make melting wax a breeze. Simply turn them on, and they will immediately warm up, transforming your wax melts into a puddle of exquisite aroma that will permeate the area and delight your senses.
